Social Media Sites … is it too much?

I came across an interesting article last night written by a blogger I have never read before. Her name is Kelly Livesay and she made a very interesting call to action. In her post she declares that she is sick of all the different social networking sites out there; facebook, myspace, twitter, social networks for

New magazine social networking sites: Add them to the list

Most recently, Entrepreneur.com launched Entrepreneur Connect, a business-to-business marketplace for entrepreneurs.  To add to the ho-hum of social networking sites here are a list of others:   Wired magazine launched Wired Biz, a ‘niche’ social networking site for Entrepreneurs.  (Hmmmm, similarities to Entrepreneur Connect?) Oh, but this one encourages collaborative problem solving.   BusinessWeek and

The E-Book Revolution

There has been a lot of speculation recently regarding the future of e-books and whether they are going to be the next big thing. What we do know at this point is that Amazon has sold 240, 000 Kindles. Given these numbers, Techcrunch’s  Erick Schonfield suggested that Citi analyst Mark Mahaney update his most recent projections

Oops! Corrections, Corrections…

Those of you who are tech-savvy probably already saw the mistake we made in yesterday’s blog. In our excitement over what we had perceived to be a major step forward in mobile device design, we rushed to an incorrect assumption. A statement on Readius’s website was misunderstood and led us to think that this was

One More Step in the Right Direction

At Spreed we love the Kindle. Any technological innovation that makes electronic reading easier and more accessible is alright with us. But the product has two clear limitations that bother us. First, and foremost, is its size. We get it – Amazon is almost metaphorically replicating the traditional book here. But in this case we

A Response to: Faster is Smarter?

The wording of Anthony’s title as an interrogative suggests an openness to the debate on the topic of speed reading. This is good news because there will be lots of differing views. But since sending out the Spreed:News demo Beta site to friends and family, no feedback has been more consistent than the comment on this slogan. Surely we had
